You can use Microsoft Client Access License (CAL) Bridge when you transition from a CAL (on-premises) to a comparable product and online service combination. Using CAL Bridge, existing CAL customers can also retain their Microsoft Software Assurance coverage, enterprise-wide commitment, and corresponding platform discounts for those workloads that are on-premises.
