Transcend's SSD452K2 features the SATA III interface and 3D NAND technology, which allows multiple layers of 3D NAND flash chips to be vertically stacked. Bad Block Management
Detects and marks bad blocks, utilizes the reserved extra capacity to substitute the unusable blocks, and prevents data from being written to bad blocks, thus increasing product reliability.

TRIM
Since the memory block of an SSD must be erased before it can be reprogrammed, TRIM proactively cleans up invalid data, sparing the SSD the painstaking process of issuing an erase command. Better yet, with the help of TRIM, the SSD will be able to effectively manage all the renewable space, so SSD wear-out is also significantly lessened.

Read disturbance
It can be reduced by minimizing excessive reads. Transcend offers different solutions to address this problem - wear leveling algorithm, early move feature, read retry.

Wear Leveling
Used to ensure that data is written equally to all blocks on a flash device, thereby preventing the overuse of any particular block, leading to failure of the device and data loss. Wear Leveling therefore improves the endurance and stability of a flash product.

Thermal sensor
Collects in real time an SSD's thermal information, making temperature readings available for the platform Host or for the SSD controller. If the SSD's temperature exceeds a certain threshold level, the device's read/write speeds are throttled down to allow the SSD to operate in a desired thermal range. Making sure that the SSD's temperature does not exceed this critical level is crucial for SSD durability.
